Tantalum strip is typically supplied to meet the requirements of ASTM-B-708, ASTM-F-560, AMS 7847, ISO 13782, RO5200, RO5400, RO5255, RO5252, RO5240.

Tantalum has excellent corrosion resistance and is especially resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 150 °C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluoric acid. Tantalum has the fourth highest melting point exceeded by tungsten & rhenium. The melting point of tantalum is approximately 2,996°C. Pure tantalum recrystallizes at approximately 2200°F (1204° C.).
