Tantalum has excellent corrosion resistance and is especially resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 150 °C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluoric acid. Tantalum has the fourth highest melting point exceeded by tungsten & rhenium. The melting point of tantalum is approximately 2,996°C. Pure tantalum recrystallizes at approximately 2200°F (1204. ਸੀ).
