Eagle Alloys Corporation is an ISO Certified Corporation and have been supplying the highest quality Zirconium for over 35 years.

In addition to Unalloyed Zirconium 702 EAC also supplies Zirconium Alloy 704, Zirconium Alloy 705, Zirconium Nuclear Grade, and Zircaloy 4.

Zirconium is typically supplied to meet the requirements of ASTM-B-351, ASTM-B-352, ASTM-B-353, ASTM-B-493, ASTM-B-523, ASTM-B-550, ASTM-B-551, ASTM-B-658, ASTM-B-811, RO60702, RO60704, RO60705, R60001, R60802, R60804, R60901.

Eagle Alloys supplies DRC Conflict Free material.  EAC only sources our Zirconium from Level 1 smelters.

Zirconium applications include heat exchangers (for producing hydrogen peroxide, rayon, etc.), drying columns, pipe and fittings, pump and valve housings, and reactor vessels, nuclear applications, chemical processing, fuel cells, solar energy, specialized chemical environments primarily acetic and hydrochloric acids, fuel tube, nuclear power reactors, sputtering targets, element box, grid spacer, end plug, control rod guide tube, measuring tube, and circuit board electroplating.

Relatively few metals besides zirconium can be used in chemical processes requiring alternate contact with strong acids and alkalis. However, zirconium has no resistance to hydrofluoric acid and is rapidly attacked, even at very low concentrations.  There are 4 kinds of corrosion resistant alloyed zirconium in chemical industry: Zr702, Zr704, Zr705 and Zr706, applying to different chemical medium and condition. These four zirconium alloy’s corrosion resistance is almost the same, but their mechanical properties are very different. Zr705’s tensile strength is the twice of Zr702. Usually Zr705 is used in chemical equipment which has a higher requirement for intensity. But in sulfuric acid containing FeCl3, Zr702 and Zr704’s corrosion resistant properties are better than Zr705 and Zr706. Zr706 has enough strength and high elongation and usually used in making heat exchanger.
