Alloy 36 strip is typically supplied to meet the requirements of AMS/MIL-I-23011 Class 7, AMS/MIL-S-16598, ASTM-B-753, ASTM-F-1684 UNS K 93603 or UNS K-93050 (FM or FC), Boeing Specification D-33078, ASTM-A-658. Other specifications upon request.

Alloy 36 is made up of 64% iron and 36% nickel and is known for its excellent properties of controlled coefficient of thermal expansion. Alloy 36 typical applications include glass sealing, clocks, laboratory devices, creep gauges, shadow-mask frames, valves, optoelectronic devices, optical and laser benches, electronics, scientific instruments, hot water heaters, filters for microwave instruments, and precision parts for optical mounting in lenses.
